Step 2: Book
Send us your dates on WhatsApp, call us, or use the booking form on the rentals page. We confirm availability and the price. Weekends, long weekends and festival weeks fill up first, so book early for those.
Any advance you pay to confirm the booking is non-refundable.
Step 3: Bring your documents
- Your driving licence, original and a photocopy, for the vehicle you're renting: a two-wheeler licence for bikes and scooties.
- That's it. There's no age limit: if you hold a valid licence for the vehicle, you can rent it.
Step 4: Pick up in Maligaon
Pickup and drop are at our location in Maligaon, Guwahati, about 2 km from Kamakhya railway station. Pickups start from 7 AM.
Starting early for Shillong? Pick up the night before at no extra cost. Your rental still starts the next day, and you can leave at first light.
At pickup, you get:
- A full tank of fuel. We take a deposit that covers the cost of that tank, settled when you return.
- Helmets for you and your pillion.
- No security deposit on the vehicle itself.
Step 5: Ride to Shillong
About 100 km on NH6, 3–4 hours. Leave by 8 or 9 AM, stop at Nongpoh for breakfast and at Umiam Lake for the view, and be off the hill section before the evening fog. Our Guwahati to Shillong route guide has the stops, the road and a two-day plan.
The rules worth knowing
- Distance: up to 300 km per rental day, which a Shillong trip doesn't come close to. Extra distance is ₹3/km for bikes and scooters.
- Where you can go: anywhere in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Arunachal and Nagaland need an Inner Line Permit, and we help you apply.
- Returning late: charged by the hour. Tell us before your return time and you get a 1-hour grace period.
- Staying longer: tell us before your return time and extra days are charged at the normal daily rent, if the bike is free.
- Damage and fines: the bike is your responsibility until it's back with us. Damage, lost helmets or keys, and traffic fines during your rental are charged separately from the fuel deposit.
