Bike Rental in Guwahati: questions & answers
Which rental bike is best for a Shillong trip?
All three handle the Guwahati–Shillong highway well. The Honda SP 125 is the most fuel-efficient, the Yamaha FZ is a comfortable all-rounder for two, and the Bajaj Pulsar N160, with its 160cc engine and dual-channel ABS, is the pick for longer runs to Cherrapunji and Dawki.
Can I ride a rented bike from Guwahati to Tawang?
Yes. It's about 480 km via Bomdila, Dirang and Sela Pass, usually over two days, and suits confident riders. You'll need an Arunachal Pradesh Inner Line Permit (ILP), and we help you apply for it.
Is a helmet included with the bike?
Yes, a helmet comes with every bike and scooter rental.
What documents do I need to rent a vehicle in Guwahati?
No age limit — you just need to hold a valid driving license (original + photocopy) for the vehicle category booked.
Is there a security deposit?
The vehicle is handed over with a full tank. We don't take a security deposit on the vehicle — instead, we collect a deposit covering the cost of that full tank of fuel, which is settled when the vehicle is returned.
Can I take the rental to Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh or Nagaland?
Take any of our rentals across Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland need an Inner Line Permit (ILP), and we help you apply for it.
How many kilometres can I drive per day?
Fair-use limit of 300 km/day. Extra distance billed at ₹8/km for cars and ₹3/km for bikes/scooters.
Where do I pick up and drop the vehicle?
Pickup and drop available only at our Guwahati location. Pickups from 7 AM; returns accepted until 11:59 PM. We're in Maligaon, about 2 km from Kamakhya railway station and 10 km from Guwahati airport.
What counts as one rental day?
A rental day is calendar-based and ends at 11:59 PM. A pickup between 7 AM and 8 PM counts that date as day 1. A pickup after 8 PM includes that night free — day 1 is the next date. Need the vehicle before 7 AM? Pick it up after 8 PM the night before at no extra cost.
What if I return the vehicle late, or want to keep it longer?
Return the vehicle before 11:59 PM on your return date. Late returns are charged for every hour or part of an hour: ₹100/hr for scooters, ₹120/hr for bikes, and ₹200/hr for cars. Running late? Let us know before 11:59 PM and you get a 1-hour grace period. Want to keep the vehicle longer? Inform us before your return deadline — extra days are charged at the normal daily rent, subject to availability and our confirmation. Without prior notice, late-return charges apply.
Do you offer discounts on longer rentals?
Renting for a week or longer? Ask us about long-rental discounts: we offer good rates on longer bookings, agreed case by case.
