Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: questions & answers
Can I ride the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 from Guwahati to Tawang?
Yes, it's the bike we'd pick for it. Tawang is about 480 km via Bhalukpong, Bomdila, Dirang and Sela Pass, usually over two days. You'll need an Arunachal Pradesh Inner Line Permit (ILP), and we help you apply for it.
Do I need experience to ride the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450?
It's taller and heavier than a commuter bike, so it suits riders who are comfortable on bigger bikes, especially for hairpins and riding two-up. If you've mostly ridden 125–160cc bikes, take it easy on the first day, or pick a lighter bike for the city.
Is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 comfortable for two people with luggage?
Yes. It's built for long days two-up, and the engine has power to spare at altitude. Keep the luggage strapped down and the weight low, and carry warm layers for the passes.
Can I rent the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 for a week or a month?
Yes. Rent it for 7 days or more and you get 10% off the daily rent: ₹15,744 for a week and ₹67,473 for 30 days, against ₹74,970 day by day. Availability depends on your dates, so message us with them and we'll keep it for you.
Documents, deposit, km limit and return times are on the self-drive rentals page.
