The route and where to stop
It takes 10–12 hours from Guwahati and needs an Inner Line Permit, which we help you apply for. Here's the route, how to split it, and which of our rentals suits it.

Ziro
Apatani villages, paddy-cum-fish rice fields and traditional crafts across the valley.
What the road is like
Most of the drive is on plains highway through Assam, followed by a hill road up to the valley. It's a long day, so many travellers split it at Tezpur or North Lakhimpur.
Avoid the monsoon months of July and August, when heavy rain makes the hill roads difficult. Drive the hill section in daylight.
