Most rentals ask for a deposit on the bike. We don't. Here's what we do instead, and what you're still responsible for.
What we do
We don't take a security deposit on the vehicle. We hand it over with a full tank of fuel, and we collect a deposit that covers the cost of that fuel. It's settled when you return the vehicle.
What it doesn't change
No deposit on the vehicle isn't the same as no responsibility.
- The vehicle is yours from pickup until it's back with us. New damage that wasn't noted at pickup, from an accident or otherwise, is charged to you at our estimate of the repair cost. It's settled at the return check, so if none is found, we won't come back to you about damage later.
- Helmets, keys and vehicle documents. Loss of or damage to them is also charged.
- Fines. Traffic fines from your rental period are yours to pay, including any that reach us after the return.
- Advance. Any advance you pay to confirm a booking is non-refundable.
Check the vehicle at pickup
Look it over with our staff and have any scratch, dent or missing part written on your agreement before you leave. That is what protects you at the return check. Take it only when you're satisfied with its condition. The whole process is in how to rent a bike in Guwahati, step by step.
