Scooters near Jalukbari
What you need
- Your driving licence, original and a photocopy. There's no age limit, but the licence must cover the vehicle: a gearless-only licence (MCWOG) is for the scooters; for a geared bike such as the Honda SP 125 you need a licence with gears (MCWG).
- That's it: the same documents as any renter. A college ID isn't needed.
From your campus, hostel or PG
- Gauhati University and AEC (Jalukbari): about 1.5 km to Maligaon, a few minutes by auto. The hostels and PGs around Jalukbari are close by too, as are Gotanagar and Sadilapur.
- IIT Guwahati (Amingaon, North Guwahati): cross the Saraighat bridge and you're in Jalukbari, then on to Maligaon. Message us before you come and we'll send the exact location.
- Cotton University (Panbazar) and the central PGs: a longer cab or bus ride west to Maligaon, past Bharalumukh.
- Can't come to us? Ask: in some cases we can bring the vehicle to you, for a fee we agree case by case.

Weekends away
- Shillong: about 100 km, the classic first hill ride. Scooters are allowed; a bike is more comfortable.
- Cherrapunji: waterfalls and caves past Shillong, better on a geared bike.
- Closer to Guwahati: Sualkuchi, Chandubi Lake and more in our day trips by scooty, bike or car, or rhinos at Pobitora.

There's a fair-use limit of 300 km a day, far more than a week of college runs and a weekend trip.
Ride safe
- Helmets for both of you. The law needs one on the rider and one on the pillion. One comes with the rental; ask us about a second when you book.
- Keep the papers with the vehicle, and your licence on you.
- Challans are yours. Traffic fines from your rental period are paid by the renter, even if they reach us after you return.
- Keeping it longer? Tell us before your return time and extra days are at the normal daily rent. Without notice, late-return charges apply.
